Staffing

From viewing many nurseries as a potential customer, I understand and do not underestimate the importance of good staff.

All our staff will be qualified nursery nurses or nursery assistants who we shall support to develop their skills with further training.

The children will be cared for in small groups with a fully qualified nursery nurse as the room leader. All the children are constantly supervised. OFSTED stipulate the staff ratios as follows;

0-2 years 1 member of staff to every 3 children
2-3 years 1 member of staff to every 4 children
3-5 years 1 member of staff to every 8 children

The nursery is currently completing QUILT, a quality assurance scheme in improving the learning and teaching for early years settings. All staff working with the foundation stage children play a part by achieving a high level of quality within the nursery. The standards are often higher and borader than for OFSTED inspections. The modules completed so far, have all achieved a credit level, the highest standard.
